Refrigerator Diaries Day 4

Early the morning of day 4

Early the morning of day 4

A lackluster day in the family meals department. The boys went off to school after their usual weekday breakfast of cereal, milk, and oranges. Geff and I were out for lunch, and then shared a quick meal before I rushed off to class. We polished off the remaining barbecued chicken plus a salad with some of the braised artichoke hearts and a little brown rice mixed into it. We also finished the last of the oldest loaf of bread. Since I bake all our bread, I am always glad when it gets eaten up.

“Your lesson taught me more than I had expected. I thought that I was a good cook, but helping me use my tools more efficiently, and introducing new tools will help my cooking in months to come.”
